Nice work

thanks for the compliments
@HFM yes, the next step is rendering . The problem is that I don't know how to do . with 3D , I "come from" Zbrush and its matcaps which are very powerful for illustrations, I used then on my models with photoshop, you can see the results at my website http://www.jphurel.com/dossier3d/album/index.html
but with "mechanic stuff" it doesn't work, I tried a lot ...
so... I don't know ...may be do the rendering of mechanic parts in Kerkythea , use the matcaps for the rest and put it together in Photoshop ...I am still thinking about it .
but, you know....normals maps...displacement etc it is just ARGHHHH !!(that 's the french sound for "mmh I think I will just explode in a very near future ")
the best I did for rendering with Sketchup models with matcaps and photoshop are these
-
Well that looks pretty much like coloring and rendering to me
Good job!
-
yes but these 2 are the only ones I like ...I tried others like the gun ...and it is really ugly .
but I work on it .

At the beginnig, that was a fly ...but at the end, Iknow it is an insect and I know that it flies , but I am not sure anymore of its name !
@kwistenbiebel yes you are right , I do my subdivisions and smooth with Zbrush or Blender if I need some

Bravo!

Buzzing Orgelf,
Blasting big fire from the skies.
Way to bring it -- an awesome weapon for protecting the planet from the blood drenched grays.
Wild how your putting it out there, are you in the know about how to make some of your model lines invisible?
Rocking might be a fun new way to look at invention... Not at all a negative as is present, but perhaps a meaningful addition to your arsenal.
Bring out the mad creative and dance with the giants.
Not to interlope on your killer thread, but allow me to share an old "fly machine" of my own from way back in the way back day.

thanks !
@Durant Hapke how to make some lines invisible ? well, my model is not very clean .I mean that I usually work with symetry , doing only one half of my model , then I do a "mirror" .This time, the mirror I did was wrong . Normally, there is only one caudal appendice, now there is 2 .But i liked the result, so I repaired each half it piece by piece to have at the end something symetric and "closed" . the "invisibles lines" are the intersections of my 2 halfs , the volumes are crossed but the intersections are not drawn
I hope you understand my explanations
and I do like your machine, it is crazy ans funny, as you are may be I guess
hi Pilou yes...my moto in a pink sunrise ! looks nice
