Where is SU 7 ?

Regarding SU 7, maybe the silience is because the omnipotent Autodesk wants to swallow Sketchu into its cavernous maw. and make us all take out overdrafts to pay for it......
There was for so many years this exact fear, in fact it went deeper to the fear Autodesk would by @last and just bury SU altogether. I think that fear has passed somewhat, I really cant imagine Google now off loading SU to anyone! Although off loading the development of it could be a consideration!

Google could easily spill some needed info for developers and ruby coders which way SU is heading. They could do that without having to reveal 'secret features' no one ever heard of.
Who said they haven't told us a few little hints here and there...

No one.
But no one said the opposite either.
Lewis filled us in on what he experienced at AIA.
But concerning 3DBC, the info we got from participants was about the presentations of the existing ruby scripts....and some nice photos off course.
Patience is a virtue, so I am sure we will see more info when the time is ripe. -

I'd just like the dumb "extra 5-minute" kludge to go away so that I don't have to run it every time I open SU6.
-
What is the 5 minute kludge you refer to? I know some users had an extra long delay on opening SU in earlier releases of SU 6, but that was cleaned up. Is it something to do with that? or did I misunderstand what you mean?

"What is the 5 minute kludge you refer to?"
A while back I got a new whiz-bang computer, with Windows Vista loaded onto it. When I installed SU6, the license complained at me, telling me that it was expired. Uninstalling/reinstalling makes no difference.
I contacted Sketchup and they kindly gave me an executable that reset the clock by 5 minutes...but it is sort of like putting a bandage on a broken leg.
It "might" have been intended to be a good fix, I mean, it works, but i gotta jump through the hoop (run the executable) every time I initialize the program.
... but the really frustrating part is that Layout and Style Builder don't understand that and just_won't_work.
grr.
I figured I could wait 'til SU7 because I have a corporate license at work, but, of course the license is on a server somewhere else on the planet and neither program has the patience to look for it, so Layout and Style builder are useless, here, too.
grr^2.

Hmm, very interesting. I also run SU on vista (64bit). But I have no problems. I guess this probably has to do with the server license stuff. I'm sure there lots going on there that I'm completely unaware of. Sorry its giving you such problems. That is quite the interesting 5 minute kludge indeed!

Unfortunatley its only relaesed in mountian time, and as mountains move so slowliy I will have to wait millions of years untill it catches up with GMT.
