I definitely have to apologize. love to discuss about such topics. and for SketchUp means more than just a fancy tool for many of us, this thread was the perfect playground. sorry for that

For me the most convenient way would be to delete the whole thread (no dates for SU 7 anyway).

I can think of more threads this applies to.
The 'Are you ready for news about SU7?' thread for instance.
After more than 10 pages, I think we can conclude that YES, we are ready for news.
Unfortunately, there is no real info on 7 in that thread at all.

You exactly know that "real info" cannot / should not / will not be leaked about any future or beta releases. So any speculation on the forums about SU 7 for instance is just stabbing in the dark.

This may be appropriate in the Corner Bar but I'd really like to see the SketchUp Discussion Forum free from such content.

This is how it goes (generally speaking, not particularly about SU 7).

The GSU Team develops the new product - adds feature that are "mature" enough to launch, sorts out bugs that are there etc.
Whenthey think it is ready for beta testing, the tests start but no-one (even the GSU Team) knows how long they are going to go on because it all depends on the succes/speed of sorting out the issues.
Even whenthe developers (GSU Team) already has some clue when the launch is due, they won't tell anyone.
So there are no hints around I'm afraid.
