What window?
-
????? what do you mean? SU has but the one window.
-
I think he might mean what render option (x-ray / wire frame / hidden line / shaded / shaded with textures / monochrome) people use when modeling.
-
I'd like a window with North light. I'd rather like the view to be good or at least interesting. I'd also hope the window wasn't drafty.
This looks like a nice window in which to work...

lol, I like it Ross
Well here is my choice!
p.s I like to work in Shaded with Textures and no background
-
...Means template? ...
-
Duh! My bad folks..What I really mean is what view..top, side, ortho..I like the answers though..Keeps you on you game...
-
Hehe. You got it! (I also like her, Ross)
Well, for me perspective mode is more "natural" than anything else. I mostly switch to parallel projection and any of the standard views only when I need to carefully select geometry.
-
perspective for general modellign stuff, top and right for when im doing stuff like push/pulling shapes into existences, or making planes to draw on.
and heres a pic of the view id like to see form my window (just to keep on topic!)
-
Hi folks.
I work 99 % of the time with perspective on.
I work with all kind of orientation, constantly orbiting, zooming, panning even while drawing, copying, whatever. It is like doing a sculpture when you manipulate the object while working on it. SU allows this kind of flexibility and I use it a lot.
Just ideas.

I model in perspective, with textures turned on. Occassionally I will temporarily switch to ortho mode or x-ray when selecting, but always revert back to perspective.
