What did she say?

And with subtitles if you could not get it all.

i'm tongue tied!

Yikes... She should have just said "More people need to go to Google Earth and check out the wicked-cool 3D Buildings layer!"...
...or maybe she should have used the non brain-killing hairspray...

My guess the little voice screaming in her brain distracted her: "How'd they find out we couldn't find the US...?"
-
I think that with a brain like that she should be suitable for a senior management post.
And what's your ambition Miss
I want to be the next president of the 'Now where am I'.

oh man, you guys are cracking me up!

This poor girl has it made, after the most publicized bbq'ng in history, she'll graduate...high school...what is she, like 17? and with those looks and the publicity, she will have practically all the doors open for her. This will be interesting to watch. She is probably getting movie offers already.

Never mind guys, there are "stories" in history.
"naked gun" comes to my mind when seeing (hearing) this:
http://www.indavideo.hu/video/Az_amiknak_is_megvan_a_sajat_Kiraly_LindajukBut we also have our own "super star":
http://www.kecskefeszek.hu/_muviz/videok.php/kiraly-linda/kiraly-linda-himnusz.htmlBTW no-one ever has tried to turn our anthem into some New Orleans jazz (but this chick) and also - she has grown up (and "become a star") in the US...
actually she has a nice voice. But after this she will never be able to get on stage in Hungary for sure (this was about 3 or 4 years ago and I haven't heard of her ever since).
National/irrational (pun meant), the anthem is something like very sacred to us over here... The audience were not laughinghere...

I feel kind-a sorry for her. While she's certainly made a bit of a fool of herself, it isn't necessarily a true reflection of her intellect. When I was 17 there's no way I could have stood on a stage in a highly competitive forum like that and answered questions in a manner that I'd be proud. Yet I know I'm smarter than I ever could have come across. In all fairness the poor girl might go on to get a PhD. Most of us probably could not 'perform' under the kind of pressure that young lady was under.
Unfortunately in our society it seems too much importance is given to being "quick on one's feet". We see it all the time where the precocious child is treated as if they are more intelligent. In the real world those of us who are smart but not so quick on our feet manage quite well.

Hi guys,
I think Ross has brought me back to earth. Great points.
cheers

Surely they are.
Yet at the age of say 17 I was at least "wise" enough not even to try it (maybe I wasn't that pretty? 8O )?
The very problem and a sad thing is that they are demanded to do things like that and their parents, managers (already at that age) etc. make these poor girls believe that they can do it. They are supposed to behave as experienced adults while they are actually still "kids" - so to say - who should rather hang out with their friends and have fun and things like that... -
i kind of feel sorry for her too, but overall i think we tend to take things way too serious.
it was just a miss teen pageant, not like it was a world leader summit. so, it's okay if she goofs up with it, and i think it's okay to smile at it (in a very harmless way ) -
-
Good on her. Great to see here bouncing back.
Alan
