Invalid license - laptop

Good evening,
I have a single user pro license. I have been using a copy of SU 6 on a Thinkpad without any problems. The Thinkpad died a couple of weeks ago. I have ordered a new m6300 and it arrived yesterday. The problem arose when I went to activate SU 6 on the new laptop. All I receive is "license invalid". Have any of you experienced this? If so any help would be appreciated.

That happened to me recently. I e-mailed SU support (my advice to you) and received a quick response. Turns out I left of a number on the looooong authorization code. They also had some additional information for installing on VISTA, but didn't pertain to me. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Thank you for the reply.
I e-mailed SU support yesterday. Sometime late last night they sent an e-mail with the same license number and auth. code that I had in front of me. My only thought is I had a null value somewhere in one of the two number sequences. I re-typed the numbers and the validation is complete.

i am still struggling with the same problem. just now i wrote to google support. let us see if they can help me.

I have to believe I introduced a null value into one of the two numbers when I was entering them into the form. I compared the set of numbers I had and the numbers that support sent me and I could not find any difference. This is what leads me to think it was operator error.

after reading your original post i tried to reenter the license number with the utmost care. it did not help. perhaps support has another tip on the subject.

The easiest way to get the registration information right is to open the registration e-mail you got from Google, copy the entire text, and paste it into the registration dialog box. SU is able to parse the text and extract the info from there, at least on a PC.

The Google Teamthis is the answer i got from google help. they were quite fast and helpful. i am quoting their reply here in the hope it can help other people. i do hope they do not mind.
well, i did as suggested: disconnected my mac and the dreaded message stopped. let's see what happens tomorrow. will this fix it for good or will i have to disconnect every time i launch SUp?
P.S.: anssi, i had already done what you suggested. as you can see, it is a bug.
