The company I work for designs, builds & maintains tradeshow and museum exhibits. A good portion of our staff are from live theatre, television and film backgrounds. I am the senior designer and head the production department of design, project menegement, graphics & estimates. We also arrange all the shipping, labor at show sites and just plain logistics of getting an exhibit to the tradeshow and back again, nationally & internationally.

I'm a one man shop and I like it that way. At this time, I'm working on house for some great clients. This is actually my second project with them. And I have a addition/remodel in the "wings".

In past decades, I have specialized in auto dealerships, but haven't done one in a while now.

Who among us would trade what we do for a living?

I was a furniture designer in Local Government until about 30 years ago & then I came to the North West of Scotland to start a Hostel for Mountaineers. Great life but unfortunately not enough money & so as there was no call for furniture designers up here I turned my hand to architectural work. Mainly extensions & renovations of the old croft houses but an occasional house as well. I now seem to spend more time in my office than I did when I was in local government!!!

Seriously, I'm a contract "architectural technician" with too manyyears experience doing just about anything needs doing...since most puzzles are as interesting as the next and they all pay the same (hourly rate).

I'm with Tom, except I will do toilet rooms IF necessary..haha...

I pretty much do anything and everything, but try to stay with modelling and rendering.. but will do design, CD's, teach, whatever I have to do to keep it interesting 😄

We have a small firm that has specialized in churches in Western Canada for over 30 years. The firm has done over 300 and I have been involved with over 50 since I joined here in '88. We do other things, but our bread and butter is working with large committees of inexperienced people on a tight budget and bringing them successfully through a complicated and expensive process to a product that they will use and love for a generation.

We meet a lot of nice people.

After being a partner in an architect-firm I started seven years ago on my own, as an architect/consultant; designing and realisating mostly leisure projects of all kind and size in most countries of Europe.
All kinds of projects, large and small, in- and exterior, mostly the conceptual phases, architectural designs, presentations etc.
Because I am a one-man consultant/architect company ,I have to be able to do every aspect of my work by myself and SU helps a lot.
