Soap skin question
-
I haven't been able to fine a tutorial I understand on the Soap/Skin Bubble tool so appreciate any assistance on this.
my question is this
-I make my closed outline
-click the Generate Soap Skin Icon
-see a outline with squares (can type in the VCB a different value)
-I select all and click the X/Y Icon and see the followingEDIT TOOL: RUNNING SOAP SKIN RATIO
RATIO X/Y: 30
PRESSURE:
-I can type in a value in the VCB and it changes the ratio value but nothing happens onscreen also the grid pattern that first appeared is not there
-if I select all again and click on the Bubble Icon I can set the pressure but nothing happensI Do not have the ProVersion - could this be the problem
any info appreciated

Jan, when ahving entered the retio you want to apply (I think the default is 10) and you hit Enter, true that nothing seems to happen. Hit enter again and then the mesh really start.

Thanks Gaieus
that did the trick - is there any info on how the values in the VCB affect the outline
does the Bubble blow up and Pressure suck in the outlineAlso how do I quickly remove the grid lines after I have applied a texture
thanks

It's always a kind of try and redo thing when I'm working with it (not too much).
The lines are just simple edges of a tin which you should (not just can) smotth afterwards. Select the group (it comes out groupped) and go to the soften dialogue , check bot boxes and try sliding it slowly. There are often some "obnoxious" lines that don't want to smooth - you can do this with the Ctrl+Eraser tool while editing the group.
