A Plant Stand with an Art Tile Top

Based on a design from the current issue of Fine Woodworking Magazine. I substituted a tile from Motawi Tileworks for the original veneered top. The tile would cost several times the price of the wood.

This lyrical trio was inspired by a book jacket cover by Talwin Morris, who designed for English publisher Blackie and Sons in the late 19th century. Our tile frames are made by Dard Hunter Studios, founded by early Roycrofter Dard Hunter and run by his grandson, Dard Hunter III.
