2024 Paint Bucket

Having issues with the paint bucket tool in 2024. I select the tool then try to use the Alt key to sample a texture and nothing... I try to use any keyboard shortcut and nothing... All I get is the paint bucket itself. Only after I click somewhere with the paint bucket will the keyboard shortcuts work. This is very annoying and messes up my workflow.
Anybody else experiencing this?
FYI I did a repair on the install just now which did not fix the issue.

I works for me. I can pick the tool via icon, menu or keyboard and tap ALT to toggle picker with no problems.
But....up until yesterday my 2024 was as a pain to deal with. I had to uninstall, wipe my ProgramData entries for it and Appdata entries then do a fresh install.
My 2023 take 2-3 starts before it launches but it does work when it starts. The joys of software...

@boofredlay are you holding Alt or tapping Alt? Doing the latter works as expected for me.

Tap or hold down, neither works. Really annoying.

Reserve hate for scenarios that truly require it. Hating 0s and 1s in software is a waste of energy.

Well I thought the update fixed it but nope. Back to having issues with the paint bucket tool. meh
