Shape top of stool

So i am trying to design a guitar pick stool with maloof joinery and i am having trouble with shaping the top. Can someone tell me how this is done. Here is a link [https://www.canadianwoodworks.com/cdn/shop/products/Guitar_Pick_Stool-9.jpg?v=1566855373] to what i am trying to accomplish.

@Cabinet89 do you have any other pictures? What version of SketchUp are you using?

@Cabinet89 For such an organic form you would need to use subdivision surface modelling.
That would make the joinery tough to pull off. But if you are just looking to model it then my recommendation would be to use Artisan or SUbD.

@Rich-O-Brien so i understand that it may make the joinery hard to pull off but my goal is to create a cnc ready file and since sketchup is the only 3d software i know i figured i would start here. Ill try your suggestions

The joinery you show isn't terribly unusual. Sam Maloof would approve. I agree withRich that Artisan or SubD would be good options. I would be inclined to model just one third of it and without the joinery initially. I would make the third a solid object (group or component) and then model the leg joinery to use as a cutter for use with the Solid Tools or better, Bool Tools 2 to make the seat-side of the joint.
