Might the navy blue color obscuring the status icon in my layers/ tags panel have anything to do with the color scheme of my windows PC?

I fixed it but now other non skp elements of win 10 are poorly colored. Win 10 color settings are difficult to manage. And to the best of my knowledge there is no reset to default.

            Perhaps this could help...

              Thanks TIG
              Been there, done that.
option 1 - everything is set to default
option 2 - i have no "graphics properties" on my desktop when it's right clicked
option 3 - when i click nvidea in the tray, its control panel pops up. however, unlike the windowsclub screenshot, i have no ''nvidea settings'' listed in item 2. only "current color accuracy mode: enhanced" and an unchecked checkbox next to "override to reference mode"

and by the way, either i hallucinated when i thought i lightened the navy blue, or i never really fixed it. this subject may seem trivial to most users - but it really is a point of dismay.

this is not relative to a single monitor's dysfunction since it appears on the other three, of different mfg's, as well.
