Figured I needed a vintage t.v. for my retro renders. Remember when the kids were the “remote control “ and you watched what mom and dad wanted to. Like it or not. Modeled this from a page out of an early 60’s Sears catalog.

Yes, I remember those days very well. I even remember our first TV. Also remember when they first introduced those humongous 19” ones. They drew quite a crowd but were few and far between.

        Well done sir! 👍 👍

😄 👍 A very nice model and a good model idea and like Ntxdave, I too still remember these monstrosities 😉 but it would be too far-fetched to believe that I must be very grey-haired for this reason!! 😆
Please allow me to make a small suggestion for an improvement - the television sets of that time, at least the ones I know of, had a less clearly rectangular framing for their picture tubes but usually much more rounded ones, which also always protruded (sometimes more, sometimes less) towards the front, instead of being so flat...

ntxdave, thanks for the good words.

HornOxx , Thanks and I appreciate the critique. Your right the screen needs more work. Overall shape of the screens pretty close. Needs more curve. Hard to tell in the ad copy just how much it has. The more rectangular shape must have been fairly new as the ad really shouts up that feature. Think I might need to go SubD on the screen to get it looking better….. 😎

Yes, I should have mentioned the rounded edges. Spent too much time rembering the time/days related to those years. 😄 😄

Like it! I agree with HornOxx 's observation. Maybe a render next of this fine example? 😄

Thanks loco. Have reworked the screen and putting together a render…

Thanks Bryan. Not sure I nailed it but it’ll do ! 😉
