RoundedCorners and a mirrored toolbar
-
Have you upgraded your mac to big sur, there seems to be some issues with reversed/mirrored text with that os.
-
As Box wrote this is an issue caused by graphics problems tied to Big Sur. It also seems to depend on which graphics card your Mac has. This isn't a bug with SketchUp 2017 Make
-
Yes, I have Big Sur on my MBP (16" 2020). It's only that one panel that is shown mirrored, never ever saw that before in any other tool, and it's also the only panel in all of Sketchup. All others are just fine (incl. the dialogs from RoundedCorner).
-
Have you used the Dimension tool?
-
No. I just select the RoundedCorner Tool and then the toolbar with the mirrored text shows on top. Once I select an edge and press „tab“, a normal dialog to enter distance and #edge elements etc. shows up (not mirrored). It‘s just the text in the toolbar.
-
I meant try the Dimension tool. Many SketchUp Make users with Big Sur have reported that dimensions are showing inverted.
-
Strange! Round Corner does not show its menu upside down on my 2019 MBP 16". Dimensions are also right-side up.
What version of Round Corner? I have v3.3a, which seems to be the latest, though it hasn't been updated in 3 years since he released Fredo Corner.
What graphics is SketchUp using? Check SketchUp->Preferences->OpenGL->Graphics Card Details. If it is using the Intel Integrated instead of the Radeon, that could be the issue. That would suggest auto-switching isn't working right.

I am also using RoundedCorner V3.3.a. Graphics Card is a Radeon Pro 5500M. And yes, dimensions are also flipped h&v (never noticed, as I don't use it usually for 3D printing...).
-
Yes. This is a known graphics issue for some Mac users who have upgraded to Big Sur. There have been numerous threads about this on the SketchUp Community Forum and apparently it is related to the graphics card and its drivers as not all users are seeing it. Hopefully there will be a Mac update coming to rectify it.
-
The mystery, which so far as I know nobody has yet solved, is why only certain Mac users are seeing this. For example, my MBP also uses a Radeon Pro 5500M but I have never seen anything upside down. I'm on Big Sur 11.2.1, but I got here straight from Catalina so I don't know whether earlier minor versions had this problem and they fixed it.

Ok, thanks. So I am knocking on wood and wait for some solution...
