      I've installed the plug in SKM Tool de TIG and when I try to use it, something strange happens: I select an image PNG and use ImageTrimmer in Tools menu, and suddenly it open EdgeDetector.jar whith the RAR applicationR that show a file EdgeDetector.class and a carpet META-INF, and...that's all, folk's..!!!
      It' everithing correctly installed (SKMTool in plugin folder), and in the Ruby Console something like ...:

      Error: #<Errno::ENOENT: No such file or directory @ rb_sysopen - C:\SK\ALIS\CACHA\ARRIENDA\PIEZA\TrimmedImages\10JORGE[Edges].dat>
      C:/Users/xtian/AppData/Roaming/SketchUp/SketchUp 2020/SketchUp/Plugins/SKMtools/ImageTrimmer.rb:277:in readlines' C:/Users/xtian/AppData/Roaming/SketchUp/SketchUp 2020/SketchUp/Plugins/SKMtools/ImageTrimmer.rb:277:in make_edges'
      C:/Users/xtian/AppData/Roaming/SketchUp/SketchUp 2020/SketchUp/Plugins/SKMtools/ImageTrimmer.rb:201:in process_image' C:/Users/xtian/AppData/Roaming/SketchUp/SketchUp 2020/SketchUp/Plugins/SKMtools/ImageTrimmer.rb:170:in initialize'
      C:/Users/xtian/AppData/Roaming/SketchUp/SketchUp 2020/SketchUp/Plugins/SKMtools/ImageTrimmer.rb:834:in new' C:/Users/xtian/AppData/Roaming/SketchUp/SketchUp 2020/SketchUp/Plugins/SKMtools/ImageTrimmer.rb:834:in block in <top (required)>'

      ...appears.

      What is wrong?
      Sorry to insist, but it was so promissing...! and I really need that fantastic tool. Is this a problem of directory name ? like what appens whith dynamic component when you're working in C:user...?

        If you read the ImageTrimmer thread, then all will be clear...
        Its .JAR files are special applets which must open/run in Java.
        So Java must be installed on your computer.
        Some 'compression' apps - like WinRar or 7-Zip - can 'hijack' the .JAR file-type.
        So when ImageTrimmer tries to open the special .JAR applets, which it needs to process the image-data, it fails because the 'compression' app has tried to open it instead !!

        To sidestep this... open the 'compression' app [e.g. WinRar] and in its settings dialog deselect .JAR as a filetype it will open...

        Retest and see if ImageTrimmer now works...

        BUT, please also note that there are specific requirements for the PNG image file's settings - e.g. only the pixels to be ignored can have any transparency - the posts in the ImageTrimmer thread explain this several times in some detail... please read them...

          HELLO TIG
          Thank's a lot for your time and very usefull explaination and tool that work increible...!
          I had to desinstall WINRAR for that to it stop to try to open the JAR file because it was no other option de asociation until... I realized that no JAVA was installed on my computer!!!
          Now it's made and everything works perfect.
          Thank's again and to Dave that helps me too.
          Christian

            All compression/decompression tools will have a settings menu, in which you change which file-types it 'opens'...
            I quote from WinRAR's FAQs:

            @unknownuser said:

            If WinRAR was associated with archives during installation (the default installation option), the archive will be opened in WinRAR. You also may associate WinRAR with archives after installation using the Integration settings dialog...

            Opening a .JAR file in something rather than Java means that it hasn't executed properly, so ImageTrimmer will fail.
            But you should be able to have WinRAR installed and ImageTrimmer working with its .JAR files through Java - but you must set WinRAR's file-associations to ignore .JAR files...
