Hidden object is messing up my drawing
-
Quick question for all you experts. I'm new to sketchup, so there's probably an easy fix for this. Hopefully.
I have a hidden object somewhere in the white space and I can't locate it or delete it. When I hit zoom extents, it zooms way out from my drawing (like several hundred feet in scale), but there is nothing visible in the white space. When I try to do a section pane, it does the same thing and sections an area several hundred feet in all directions, with nothing visibly showing.
I've turned on all layers. And I made every white colored layer black.
I've gone through every item in outliner
I've scribbled the eraser all over the white space trying to find some dot of a line or anything just floating out there.
I've dragged left with the dotted "select everything" box and nothing happens.I'm stumped.
Any suggestions?

Are you using SketchUp 2020 as your profile says? There are no layers in SU2020.

What did you do in Outliner? Have you tried selecting all the groups and components in the Outliner and then inverting the selection? Does Entity Info show anything?
Do any of your nested groups/components show as having anything hidden?
Do any of the components or groups have excessively large bounding boxes? If so, they could have hidden entities inside.
Were you using text in the model? Have you tried going to Model Info>Text and choosing Select All Leader Text or Select all Screen Text? Does Entity Info show anything selected?
You could share the SketchUp model file so we can poke around and see if we can fix it for you.

Just a shot in the dark .. have you gone to the View menu and turned on 'Hidden Geometry'? That one is my Achilles heel.
