I'm going to try a car this time
-
I think you are going about it the right way, slowly adding things until it feels 'right' for you. If it's worth anything, I would have one.

-
Thanks Mike!
More adjustments to come. I hate those headlights.

-
Your making great progress

-
Thanks tuna!
-
Ah! I just remembered. The Mercury Merkur 4xti.
-
Still working out the front end.
Widened the roof pillar. Hid some more lines. Changed the side window back to the other shape.

-
Didn't like it so I simplified it again.

-
I kind of like this front end. Maybe a little more refinement, but it's very close.

-
Some minor details left then choosing a color.

-
How does blue look?

-
While the blue looks fine to me, given the style of the car I would expect for it to have a little more of a spaceship look. This might be more obvious in a rendered view, Again JMO.
I should also mention though that I think the design of the car is really neat, eye catching and something that Elan Musk might be interested in building.

-
Thanks! I'm not set on any particular color.
Most spaceships are white, which works as well.
So, white?
-
Here is a white version with black trim accents. (and some more refinements)

-
More front end refinement.

-
I like the white.
Now try Twilight Render Hobby with a metallic shine parked in a neat city setting. I think it would be neat.

-
Added tire texture from the 3D Warehouse.

-
Thanks Dave!
Still have a few more details to finish before I do the first render.
Do know where I can get a good city street HDRI? It has to be free. I can find a couple of parking garages, but that's all I can find.
-
OK - that looks good to me. IMO it kind of brings the car alive.

I just updated with a second picture in previous post.
Thanks!

Again, JMO, I like the look of the car better in the first image but like the setting in the 2nd image. Maybe the is a way to combine the best features of the two images now. Again, JMO, rendering brings out the good features of your work.
Wish I could visualize and produce something like your car.
