Draw a the desired face shape [it can be any size], select that face and then activate the tool.
The face's initial area is reported in a dialog, type in the desired target area, then OK - the face is then rescaled to have the desired target area...

TIG, tried it and it doesn't scale properly. Working in sq. ft. units.

        Thanks. Ben

I just checked it out... and in m² and ft² it works just fine for me ??

What units/precision do you have set for your Model Info > Units > Area ?

Can you attach a simple SKP that's causing you issues ?

              Architectural Units, accuracy at 1/16".

Attached is the file. Original circle about 78sf. Larger Circle was supposed to be 100 sf.

Perhaps it's the way the units are entered?

When I try your SKP I get the wrong result too !
When I test it myself it was OK...

BUT now if I test it with a circle around the face it does scale oddly.

If I explode the circle first it works OK...
                  So something is adrift...

It's because the scaling transformation affects the face's vertices, and when it's a simple outline they get process individually, but when it's a circle they get processed repeatedly and so the scaling is then way off !

Leave it with me for a while why I invent another transformation method !!
                  😲

                    TIG,

                    OK, thanks.

I get the same result if I explode the curve or polygon. Simple non-curve lines around a face work fine.

                      Here's v2.0
                      https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=TIG_scale_face
I've fixed it to cope with all face perimeters - i.e. circles etc...
                      Download the RBZ and install...
Please test it and report back...
