New workstation

Hi guys, please I need advice.
Ive been working with Sketchup since 6.0, now on 2018 pro.
Working with Vray since 1.46, now on the latest 4.00
Wortking with Draftsight.Working on small to mid-size projects /family houses, interiors, time to time urbanism of are up to 30,000m2/
My renders are not the top 10, but still enough.
Now working with notebook Lenovo V330 Intel core i3, 4GB RAM, Intel graphcis
And the computer is slow especialy with interiors /render but aleso during work in sketchup when file is over 10 MB size/I need new workstattion...up to 1,300,- Euros...
Please can you give me some tips?

Forget the Quadro cards, they won't show any benefits in SU or for rendering over their GTX or RTX equivalents. Apps have to be specifically written to take advantage of the Quadro cards.
I've just built myself a new machine, It has an i9-9900k as it has very good single core performance for SU and lots of other cores for other apps. It's got an RTX2070 instead of a slightly cheaper GTX card because renderers will (or do) support ray trace rendering very soon. It's got 32Gb of ram because I could.
Everything else in the box (storage, power etc) is ancillary and was chosen to suit needs and the above.There are a few RTX laptops out there but any laptop will throttle its processer due to heat very quickly when rendering and slowdown to a comparative crawl, unless you're really really wanting a laptop I'd go for a desktop any day.

This! Also no need to pay extra for Xeons either. The ever so slight bump not worth the increase cost. Just got a new Dell Precision 3630 at work. 8th gen i7-8700, 32 gb ram, 512 m.2 nvme and rtx 2080. Should run smooth for 5 years like my old box.

Thank you both guys. My problem is that thus setup is over my budged and probably over my needs. Seems like Im going for Ryzen 5 2600 and gtx 1060 maybe 1070. Hope It will work. Do you have some experience with Ryzen? Is there big difference between gtx and rtx line of nVidia ?

I went with the intel i9 because ... welll ... I could (not my money) but I seriously looked at the Ryzen line and found nothing technically lacking so no worries on that front. As for the individual model to go for, that’s down to your budget.
RTX cards have some fancy ray tracing tech built into them, apps such as VRay, Enscape etc have to be written to take advantage of the tech and whilst I know Enscape are working on it it’s not here yet, theoretically RTX should make nicer/faster renders out of the box once implemented but we’ll see, I got the RTX2070 over a GTX card for future proofing.
GTX cards are cheaper than RTX ones and as the RTX doesn’t offer any realistic advantage ’now’ you’re perfectly safe getting a GTX. Try and get a 1060 or better, I always thought the 1070 was the sweet spot between the low powered 1060 and the expensive 1080, same is true for the 20xx RTX cards.

I see zero problems with that list, should be a nice machine.
I don’t see a power supply listed so I assume is part of the case, make sure it’s big enough (wattage). I’m not sure of the Ryzen’s requirements and the RTX is going to be working hard when rendering so I’d go with a 600/650 w minimum to be sure.Be sure to find out what the RTX has for sockets, mine has Display Port and HDMI and I was caught out by not having the right cable with the monitor, a quick Amazon order and I had one the next day but it was annoying not to have it on the day.

I would go for Ryzen 3000 because of the better single core performance (SketchUp).

https://geizhals.eu/?cat=WL-1314462I think IF you want to use the GPU for rendering, 8 GB would be the better choice atm. (if your scenes will fit into 8 GB). Otherwise you could go with a GTX 1060 with 6 GB. Or since it has been announced that V-Ray will get out-of-core rendering you could also take the GTX 2060 (6 GB) to have at least some RT-cores (30) when V-Ray supports RTX (but as far as i know, there is no timeframe for both features and how long it takes til it is available for the SU version is another question...).
edit: or a RTX 2060 Super with 34 RT-cores and 8 GB for ~400€...

To numerobis: well seems like rtx feature is already in latestet vray build...also they recommended me to go for rtx line and they advixe is not to go for ryzen 7 3xxx line because they have info about some issues with it according to vray usage...we will see what thw future brings...i will.let you know how is the new machine...thanks again -
Min 32gb of RAM is a Must in 2019.
