Adjust Translation ... after

Hi,
Not sure that my explanation of what I want to do is absolutely clear ...
I apply a translation to an object.
Cool ...How to do if I want to 'edit' the translation, for example to adjust the object position on Z axis afterward the translation was mainly on Y axis (and the mouse button has been released) ?
Or, how to choose/change the 'main' translation axis while drawing the translation (with 'N' choosen) before releasing the mouse button ?

The more simple is not Crtl + Z
and make a new translation ? -
There is a button "Change direction"
