    Hi guys,
I just would like to know if anyone had this problem before.
    I'm using Vray 3.60 and Skp17 (Windows 8 x64).

Whenever I'm launching a rendering and I want to stop on the way, there is no way for me to stop vray working, until the time he would usually have used to go until the end of the full rendering is over.

I explain: The frame buffer 'stop' icon is grey (meaning it understands I said to stop), BUT the red sqare next to the teapot icon doesn't disapear, and the progression bar at the bottom of the FB keeps progressing saying 'rendering image'...
Then, no way to render anything else before waiting till the regular time is over, or forcing SKP to quit.

Could anyone help with this please?
    Thank you very much.
    Vv

I don't get it, stop is gray, but red square (?) is still red? There is only one stop sign next to teapot. When you click it, it turns grey and render stops. Attach a screenshot if you can.

        Hi kimi kimi,

Thank you for your reply. Sorry for the confusion.
There are 2 ways to stop rendering: The teapot (Vray asset editor), or the stop sign (Top right corner of the Vray Frame Buffer).
Weither I click on the first one, or the second one, doesn't make a difference, it only stop rendering if I'm still at Building light cache.

As soon as I want to stop during the final path, the buckets stops, but the progression bar at the bottom of the Frame Buffer keeps going like the rendering is still going on and there is no way to launch another rendering before it finishes the previous one.

For a small resolution, I need to wait a couple of minutes, nevermind. But if I want to stop a high resolution rendering, I need to wait for hours before being able to launch another rendering (or I can force the app to quit and restart... which is not very professional).

        Is this a better explanation?
        Thank you for your help.

I am having this exact same problem with V-ray 3.6 and SketchUp 2017
The only way to start a new rendering without waiting for the current one to finish is to completely exit out of sketch up.
No ideas on why this is happening, I'll attempt to trouble shoot and post any results here.

I have this problem with large models and plenty of scattered objects, lots of textures and high definition settings. At some point, sketchup starts to flicker in the background, but V-ray keeps on rendering.

When I hit batch render and leave the computer awake for the night , sometimes it freezes and only 3 of 5 renderings make it.

Most of times , V-ray uses all my 16GBs of ram and portions of assigned Vram.
