Overlapping dimension extension lines in LO
-
It's easy to accidentally cause dimensions in LO (and AutoCAD) to display erroneous results. This happens when you go back over previous dimension objects and fiddle with them, for whatever reason, and cause their extension lines to overlap. I doubt there is a solution, other than just being vigilant. But such a mistake could be costly in the field or fab shop. Sample attached.

If you're fiddling with them you can easily disconnect the dimension from the model. Being vigilant is probably the only prevention or fix. Inadvertent fiddling can be prevented by putting dimensions on a layer that gets locked or in LO2018, you can lock individual entities without locking the layer they are on.

For any AutoCAD users out there....I found a LISP routine that identifies these little buggers.
