Can't Select

I have just installed SU7 and sometimes I can't select edges or faces. The push/pull tool works sometimes, then it stops when I cannot select. If I select with a right to left marquee, that always selects whatever it crosses!!
In fact, selecting is a problem with SU 7 for me, I have tried the same processes in SU 6 with no problems at all.

Try checking for updates on your video card driver. There have been updates to SU7 that might work differently with the video card and require updates. Just don't ask me what was changed, I don't know. I just know that this has been pretty common.

Problem has been solved...I had had this issue some years ago and suddenly remembered the answer. I turned off "use hardware acceleration"

I too am having the same problem. I installed a medical monitor from the 3-D warehouse, however when I go to move it the screen itself is completely separate. I have tried to make the whole room a component to move and scale but it still hasn't solved the problem. I've tried deleting it but I still can't select the item at all to delete it.

Exactly which component did you download from the warehouse? It would be useful to know. Or even better, it would help if we could see your SKP file of it.

I downloaded the Versa Care MedSurge bed and mobile workstation by Cesar. I can not select them all even if I highlight the entire entity. However if i highlight all of my sketchup it selects it.

We have the same issue, you can fix it by following these steps
- Select all ( Ctrl + A)
- Go in menu Edit , go to the end of the column, you will see some thing like "1 component", "1 group" or a "number" with groups or component
- Go inside this selection to chose Expode
- You may have to repeat this 3 steps until u can select, and then you can regroup these elements
