Nice work, did you bypass SU and import the model direct into THEA, I always have a nightmare with textures in SU.
-
Yeah, obj import into Thea Studio.
Use a black 512px 512px img for the background slot in the IBL and one of Thea's Licensed Studio IBL for the lighting.
Also added an infinite plane and set it's texture to be a shadow catcher only.
Added Vignette and Glare in the Darkroom after rendering.

Very nice Richard, I'm glad your enjoying TF3DM my only suggestion might be to show the source of the lights.

Nice, very moody shot. Similar to the kind of shot used during a new car reveal.

Is that the losing 2017 merc Rich? I have a gut feeling our Daniel Ricciardo or Max who is in for a championship win this year! To be honest, I'm not against any particular team, just as long as if Merc take the championship again, it is Bottas who pulls it off and Hamilton gets caught in lewd photos with Justin Beaver! Seriously what was the go in Monaco sharing the grog with him?? Makes total sense he was beaten in 2016 by a retiree!
-
BTW, I'm almost wet with excitement about this year! It hasn't even started but already feels like the true driver's championship of the 90's revisted!

With the new regs the Red bulls have another chance to pull the caps over the other teams heads and it will be a more open championship than has been the case for quite a while. Who would have thought Red bull could get so close with an engine they had actually rejected? As far as Daniel goes, what a driver, Max is someone I cannot get a grip of yet. He is amazing at the wheel and dances that car around the track but is using driving tactics that got Michael Schumacher such a reputation as a bully. If he cannot drop the bully in the playground mentality he will be left behind.
Valteri in the same car as Lewis? Fireworks, he will NOT be allowing Lewis to push him around the track like Nico did for so long. This could lose Mercedes the championship and frankly I am hoping for more overtaking and competition. I will miss a certain tail end charlie team if they close, they put a lot of heart into their work pulling some amazing results from a budget some teams would throw away on hospitality. Perhaps we have a chance to get out of the money wasting ways currently in vogue.
Nico will be missed but I think he will be happier and at peace. Good luck to him and his family. -
Bigger tyres, more downforce, more overtake potential. It's all about negating Mercedes' dominance.
We are closing in on the same type of racing we had when Senna/Prost were driving the wheels off the cars to win. More driver control is needed.
And please don't go closed cockpit. We need spectacle. Plan to head to Silverstone this year if I can swing it.
Daniel is probably up there with Alonso in terms of talent and speed.
Max is reckless. Which is what the sport needs. Not more Vettels who whinge on the radio for 80% of the race.

Or they have two drivers that are well above that of Merc, certainly both RB drivers have proven they can drive fast whilst still maintaining tyres, something Hamilton has proven he cant!

Yeah Max's weaving under braking is totally suss, though he's proven the same from the driver in front bothers him little, "you close that door, I'll just drive the longer dirtier way and still get around you"! And does he have the measure of Daniel, in the wet where heroes are made, he has the measure of everyone! Brazil '16!!!!! Just drive past anyone anywhere on a wet track!

Fingers crossed, Bottas is brilliant, and certainly the measure of Hamilton.

Yeah, not this end!!! You don't retire as champion! Something someone said to me once that always stuck. Mike Doohan, 5 x Moto GP champion, face the reality that he may lose his leg if he broke it one more time but still continued to push for a championship. I suggested to a mate, "wouldn't you imagine faced with that he'd retire?", his response was "that is why he's a world champion, and you aren't"!
For me Nico bowed out knowing that he wouldn't be able to defend his championship even against his team mate! That's a bit soft!!!

Cool Back light. Where's the Sketchucation decal?

I know what you mean but he is probably being realistic. It took Lewis losing his cool AND the early breaks to win a championship. Not exactly impressed with the comments from Lewis post race but I suppose it takes a huge amount of self confidence to go back year after year.
Still looking for a more competitive series this year.

How did I miss this one too?
Just... wow!!
