Breaking up tiling effect of a material
-
Hi guys, new to Vray here and I'm wondering what a good technique would be to break up the tiling affect that sketchup produces with some materials. In the attached image you can see the pebble material i'm working with. I've tried a few things with editing the material, such as increasing the filter blur, increasing the amount of jitter, but the tiling effect is still very noticeable. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Floor generator can be used to create geometric tiles and apply random materials:

In my post you can see it used with both single and multiple seamless textures. -
Try bigger and better texture.

Thank you for your responses. I have not seen the floor generating plugin before and I'm currently testing it out. Preferably I would like to be able to set the gap depth to zero as this texture (pebbles) doesn't really fall under the patterns built in (Brick/Wood/ etc.), but when I set it to zero the material doesn't change. I'm going to keep playing with it to see if I can get it to work. Have you had to do something like this with this plugin?
Yes srx usually I do try to find better textures and will probably replace this one, but seeing as this is a constant issue I run into I was wondering if there was a setting in the vray material properties I could use to fix the tiling effect instead.

Or maybe use a blend material? With material A being the tile material and the B material a procedural noise for instance. Haven't experimented with it yet.
