Can you substitute profile faces in existing follow me objec

Is there a way to substitute(replace) one profile(Face) for another with out having to re trace the path you are extruded along.(follow me tool)
I am trying to make several different door casing examples along a path and am trying to save myself some steps

if the path is away from the end result, it is easier to reselect...

I think i can use this technique to speed things up -
People often miss that you can do multiple followmes by enclosing the profiles in one face.
