Sketchup 2017 won't start

    Good morning, Willem here.
    It seems i cannot get SU 2017 to start. Can somebody help me ?

    I've had an e-mail from Sketchup as follows:

    Good news! SketchUp Pro 2017 is now available! Because you are up-to-date with our Maintenance & Support program, you are entitled to a FREE license upgrade. Your new SketchUp Pro 2017 license information is below.
    Please note: you’ll need to be connected to the Internet when you authorize SketchUp Pro 2017.

    After downloading and installing sketchup 2017 it will not start.
    I have restarted my computer (windows 7 home premium)but it doesn't start.
    I also removed SU2017 and than installed it again, but nothing seems to work.

    Help me please.

      Are you running 64-bit version of Windows 7 Home Premium? If not then SketchUp 2017 will not start, in fact it shouldn't even install, it is 64-bit only now...

      If indeed you are running a 64-bit Win 7 system, I would download it again and do the installation again. If I recall Correctly there may be additional requirements that will have to be downloaded and installed, maybe have a look at the release information.

      Save the Earth, it's the only planet with chocolate.

        Assuming you are running 64-bit Windows, you must right click on the installer and choose Run as administrator to install it properly.

          You're not running on old hardware that SketchUp doesn't support anymore?

            that's actually a good point, try downloading the Sketchup 2017 CheckUp app and run that, maybe some clues from that?
