In the dynamic "Component Attributes" window, is there a way to change the order of the components (objects)?

It seems like the only thing that affects the order is the last created/pasted component which appears at the bottom of the list.

          use outliner

select and and drag the sub_components to the corresponding parent level or other location of your choice, leaving the one sub component you want first (leave at least one otherwise the container will delete itself), then drag the moved components one at a time back and they add under the previous, as mention above for copies

Outliner is the idea tool for many operations on nested groups / components

            **"use outliner"

This only lets you change the parenting of the sub-components it seems. The components are listed alphabetically in Outliner so no way to change the order here that I can see.

But the listing of components in the Component Attributes window doesn't follow the Outliner anyway. As halroach points out, the components there are listed with the last created at the bottom of the list. A bit of a pain when the number of components grows so large that the parent attributes disappears off the top and you have to keep scrolling up and down.

It would also be nice if you could change the order of Component Options on that particular window so you could group the parameters in some kind of logical sequence. I guess the solution to that is to get so competent building DC's that you have those sequences already planned out before you start!**
