Select line segments upto first junction and weld

Is there a plugin which can weld line segments upto the first encountered junction?
So where its first connected to another line?
Normally when you double click on a line segment it only selects all other connected linesThanks!

If you want to miss off just one line then double-click to select all and immediately Ctrl+Shift click on the unwanted line to deselect it - the rest will stay selected.
You can also Ctrl+Shift and use a fence to remove multiple things from the selection.
Or use a fence to select just what you want -
drag the fence's corners either:
right>left to include everything that is within the fence, even those things which are only partially within it
or
left>right to include only objects which are wholly within the fence, and anything straddling the fence are not included. -
