Updated El Capitan and my mouse orbit / pan and often times the inference snaps are really 'jerky'. Not as smooth as they used to be.

Tried several mice, re-installed the 3d Connexion CAD mouse drivers, etc. etc.
Pretty sure the change happened when I updated OS X El Cap to the latest version.

Odd, that my Space Mouse is smooth as ever... seems to be a pointing device or graphics driver issue.
Orbiting with trackpad when using the orbit tool shows similar behavior.

Will try to post a video later today.
      Anyone else seeing this?
Anyone know how to rollback my update?

People are starting to report these issues.
I don't use mac so can't comment but can confirm you aren't alone.

This has also been reported on the sketchup.com forum. It seems to depend a lot on the specific hardware, which supports the idea that it is somehow related to an input device driver change in 10.11.4. Other than using a different mouse, I haven't seen a fix as such.

tried 2 mice, and it affects the trackpad too...

will see if it affects any other 3d applications.

just got instructions for reverting to the os before i hit this (minor, i thought) upgrade...
            might have to do that.

            arrrrrrrgh!

Same model in 2015 works smoothly, so it would seem like SU changed something then Apple changes something and now it's broken.

If I turn on a style that has sketchy edges, the jerky motion goes away.

If I delete all the scenes, the jerky motion goes away.

If I add scenes in a simple, fast rendering style, and switch to one of them, the jerky motion comes back.
If I switch to a scene with a sketchy edge style, it goes away.

                Very odd behavior.
I'll try to post a video tonight.

                    Similar problem.
                    OS X 10.11.4
                    SU Pro 16
                    New Wacom Intuos Pro med.
Wireless space mouse - JFTR, works incredibly well with SU. Massive speed improvement for me in navigating 3D.

However finding Wacom really inaccurate for picking up points and moving. On small projects the move tool stutters and jerks around. Thought it was human error at first... tried every setting in Wacom config wasting several hours...

Picked up 2D outline of basement to move with Wacom - useless!!! Really wasting time and effort to place.

Put pen down - picked up mac mouse without de-selecting object. Object moved and snapped perfectly!!

Would appreciate any suggestions - close to boxing Wacom and send back for refund.

                    Thanks
