That is just beautiful! I suppose it is gone now? Otherwise, fix it up like that and put a pub in there!

Why do you think the brick in the end gable looks different than the rest? (You showed that nicely).

        Thank you hvanessen.
Thanks Peter, yes all gone along with the shipbuilding, mines and factories. The brickwork was typical of a lot of buildings and boiled down to cost, expensive materials on the facade and cheaper bricks to the "rear". TIG once pointed out the material difference on the roofs of buildings in an old render of mine (Durham), bottom three course of stone and clay tiles above.

          Very nicely done, John.

I see. Yes, that is common. Very obvious in downtown blocks, of course.

Hello Peter, I'm not sure about "downtown", here it seems to me that almost every building except Churches and new builds (modern residential and commercial) are constructed this way, others more knowledgeable may know otherwise. Fur coat and no knickers! maybe.

Like pretty much everyone else here, I am a big fan of your work. Nothing but the highest quality and most faithful renditions of historical structures. Fantastic!
