I have a bit of an odd issue where, working with geometry, if I single click I can select an individual line or face, if I double click I can select a face and its lines but if I triple click it no longer selects all the geometry. I've tried multiple click combinations and even adjusted the mouse click speed but no joy.
I used the be able to triple click and be able to select all the geometry but now can't do so - it makes selecting very trick.
Anyone else had the same problem or any ideas on a solution. I have auto detect set in the click style prefs.

Is it possible it is a problem with your mouse? I've been using SU2016 pretty heavily and haven't seen this problem. i use that triple click thing all the time and I'm sure I'd have noticed if it wasn't working like it used to.

If you are using a wireless mouse, does it have a usb receiver?
If so, have you added a usb thumbdrive or other device.
I noticed some mouse & keyboard issues recently while a usb 3 stick was plugged in.
            Only a thought.

of course I don´t know if that´s the reason, but since I use exactly the same notebook as Samyell, I experienced today for the first time what you're describing here. I pluged in a usb3 stick (at the right side of the Dell Precision M4800, where it´s usb2 ports are located) and my usb wireless mouse finished working completely, even the touchpad of the notebook...
When I pluged in the usb3 stick at the left side of the notebook, where it has it´s usb3 ports actually, everything was fine again...

I would also suggest any mouse issue

I will add that at a certain number of edges/faces (about 8.2 million edges) triple click begins to fail and soon is no longer possible. A hard limit has existed in SU for a LONG time, although it has increased with versions. I think it might be 10 years ago the limit was 200k.

                Cheers,

Ran a disc cleanup, trashed a load of files and restarted and everything seems to be back to normal now. Thanks for all the suggestions tho peeps.
