When a new plugin makes a toolbar for the first time it ought to be made floating in the top left quadrant of the screen. That is the default. Scripters can't affect how it works. But for some yet to be fathomed reason SketchUp 2013 occasionally decides to dock it in the top-bar, which would be so bad BUT it puts it under existing toolbars - which isn't allowed as docked toolbars must always have their own 'space' πŸ˜’

I know Trimble are striving to fix it - it's an embarrassing glitch...

          Hi,

I use Sketchup 7 and I want to install architect tool. My question is how to install the necessary TT_lib2.rbz on sketchup version lower than 7?

          Thanks Iza

To Auto-Install the contents of a RBZ you need v8M2 or newer.
Assuming the plugin will work in say v7 [many do] then you can use the old-way...
Change the filetype suffix from the .RBZ file to .ZIP.
An RBZ is actually a ZIP with another ending.
Extract the ZIP's contents to a temporary folder, you should have a loader rb and a main folder, within that keep all of the files within their respective subfolders etc, where applicable. NEVER move files out of the subfolder that they are shipped in...

Before installing the plugin - as an Admin, ensure you have FULL read/write permissions set for all users/groups listed in Properties > Security > Edit...

NOW move the contents of the temp folder - in this case the TT_Lib... folder with its subfolders intact and its 'loader' rb into the Plugins folder...
            Restart SketchUp...

Thomthom, would it be possible to add some tiny but important option to flatten entities by current UCS (not only restricted to the World XY plane as we got it now)?
I did not quite followed the changes in you politics concerning your tools maintenance after relocation to Olympus. Hope it sounds relevant to you now.
                Thank you in advance.

I think that function is covered by JQS Align.

                    this one:
                    http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=jsAlign
                    ?
it won't work with user defined direction of flattening unfortunately.world UCS axis only.

I do not know what caused it, but I know I did the test by removing the plugin and the problem disappeared, when I put the plugin again the bug splat appear!

There is a easy manual way of flattening anything.
                                  Set camera to top view.
                                  Set camera to parallell projection.
                                  Export as 2d dwg.
                                  Import that flat dwg again.
                                  Done.

That is genius pixero - I totally forgot about that method.

the only thing is that for some reason it scales at 1/10th scale but thats a really easy sort
