Hmmm, yes, I'm not sure how solving 145 components for and missing a few means it is a failure and should be removed from any "lists".

145 components is not half of the remainder (not just a few). Whilst this ratio is appreciated, and I never unvalued the amount of effort/time spent for this alpha version, it should be legitimate to ask whether there is further development (intended) or not. And if not I reckon it to be legitimate to mark any such plugin as such, or else how is the user to know?

The timestamp of last update gives a good idea of the activity for extensions. Now sure what a special mark would be useful for. I've not made any concious decision that I will never update it again - in fact, I really wish I would find time. But alas time is a rare commodity these days.

Removing it would probably upset more people, as there are a good number of people who swear to this extension.

One thing I'd like to point out to everyone is that all my free extensions is available on GitHub or Bitbucket - open for contribution if anyone wants to make a stab at improving. It's something I've been missing in the SketchUp extension community - collaboration.

Hello Thomthom I have a suggestion for this plugin and I am not sure if it is possible to intergrate it into this great plugin or if there's already a plugin in existance.

What I've been thinking is that you have lets say a cube and you have about 40 different types of shapes throughout your model and be able to replace these 40 shapes with that cube in just a right click.

For example Having selected the 40 objects and you right click and select say (replace by) and select the cube.

If this makes any sense at all.

Oh ThomThom, I wish you had more time to improve this plugin, the potential is so great.

And I have a problem with it... hope you can help or tell me what's wrong.

Your plugin DOES NOT WORK with Chris Fulmer's LOOSE TO GROUPS plugin.

I tried it with several models and before writing this post, to be sure of what I was going to write, I created a 1x1x1 cube and multiplied it.

Then I run Chris Fulmer's tool and it surely converted the cubes to objects. They are absolutely the same.

Your plugin however doesnยดt recognize them. 0 definitions replaced!

Any idea what may be happening? Why does groups created by LOOSE TO GROUPS are not recognized by your plugin? There must be something "deep down" going on!

well, now I do not know. I created several cube groups by myself (did not use Chris Fulmer's plugin).

And Component Comparison still did not work.

Exploded the cube groups and created the groups one by one (instead of multiplying a group). Still did not work.

                        WTF?

It's been awhile since I've used it but just found the same thing as Aces, that it's not working in 2015 with Loose2Groups for some reason. Bummer ๐Ÿ˜•

Same for me, I got this in the Ruby Consol :

                            Error: #<NoMethodError: undefined method length' for nil:NilClass> /Users/vico/Library/Application Support/SketchUp 2016/SketchUp/Plugins/tt_cc.rb:182:in get_transformation_difference'
                            /Users/vico/Library/Application Support/SketchUp 2016/SketchUp/Plugins/tt_cc.rb:117:in block in replace' /Users/vico/Library/Application Support/SketchUp 2016/SketchUp/Plugins/tt_cc.rb:107:in each'
                            /Users/vico/Library/Application Support/SketchUp 2016/SketchUp/Plugins/tt_cc.rb:107:in replace' /Users/vico/Library/Application Support/SketchUp 2016/SketchUp/Plugins/tt_cc.rb:29:in block in module:TT_CompComp'
                            SketchUp:1:in `call'

But with a simple model it works...
                            don't find why...
