        This blue # marks the start page in Layout's Auto-Numbering of pages.
        In your example it starts at the first page, but you could have it starting later on - for example if you had a 'foreword' page [or two].

            not sure what happened. last release i was really impressed with the speed improvements... this release seems to have gone backwards in that regard...

              I find it faster than ever... actually a lot faster (though it could still be faster.)

              Are you sure your GPU is being used with LO. If not it will be much slower than before.

              Go to Nvidia or ATI settings and force LO one of the apps those devices deal with.
