I was using sketchup for my dissertation all my sketchup files were in my hard drive which i accidentally ended up formatting i have lost all my work. I've tried recovering the files through disk drill software and did manage to recover the files but i cant open them, Every time i open the file i am given the error 'unexpected file format' what are my options what can i do ? My submission is in less than 36 hrs...

You can use the files from one of your backups. Or do you really have your files for your dissertation on one harddisk only?

Share some files with someone here or Trimble. See if they find a way to open them. Do they still have ".skp"?

I was working on my friends pc and i was done with my work so had all my files on my hard disk and deleted whatever there was on his pc. I had to retrieve my deleted file through disk drill.

All i could retrieve was a .skp file there is no .skb file i have imported my file into sketchup and no process takes place at all. I have switched extensions and still no luck the same error .

I have uploaded my file on mega. Can i share the link over here ?

                      It's a Sketchup v2014 file...
                      But it's not open-able.
Something is corrupted - someone at Trimble might be able to help...
