Odd Problem...
-
So I have this odd issue going with SU 2015 Pro... When I try to weld deep in groups or components I get a crash. Doesn't matter when, where or what model... Doesn't matter who's weld I use. BUT... If I use the weld above all the groups, out in the open, top level of geometry, the weld works fine and no crash.
The issue seems to be with a few plugins such as Joint Push Pull, Vali Architect Plugins... Really, any plugin that does complex computations. And again they work on the top level, it's just when they get further down in groups or comps that it breaks.
I've tested weld in a group in a group in a group etc alone in a blank model file and everything works fine... It seems to be in models with "other" geometry.
Any clues? or steps to track it down?
I'm sure it's a conflict of some kind. But removing plugins and adding them back is a pain when it comes to an error that comes during workflow and not just at startup.

Have you MSPhysics installed?
I noticed it was splatting SU2015 for me for no reason.
-
Nope... Don't have it.

is there a way to record the ruby console? it says some stuff there right as it crashes and I can't make out what it says before it's gone...

I think Aerilius Ruby++ Console does it? Or maybe it's SketchUp Dev Tools?
Fredo tends to write a log if it's his tools. LibFredo6Trace_##_####.txt

used a screen capture program to get this before it crashes.

Did you disable Powerbar and BGSketchUp?
-
That was it... BGSketchUp plugins. I removed them and it's working now. Thanks Rich.

No probs...come back again soon!

Powerbar was what I used to "weld" so that's why it was in there.

You should flag it with Max
