Turn all layers off but not one

how to turn all layers off quickly but not one chosen layer ?] -
Go to the top of the list of layers click on the top layer, hold shift, go all the way down and click on the last layer then click 'Visible' to turn them off, then turn on the layer you want.
Perhaps there is a plugin that can do this, but honestly this is pretty easy.
