Plugins store downloads
-
I'm using sketchup make 2015 for windows, operating as a wine application on my Linux machine. I registered on sketchUcation and went to the plugins store. I can list plugins that I need, but when I click on the "autoinstall" button opposite the plugin, nothing happens.
In sketchup, I have the 3 sketchUcation icons that appear after installation of the plugins store software, but there is nothing listed in the Plugins or extentions managers. What am I doing wrong? -
When you click on the red button from the SCF toolbar, does is the window that opens blank? SketchUp and as a result, the SCF Plugin Store tools requires Internet Explorer for Windows machines or Safari for Mac. I'm guessing you haven't got IE installed.
By the way, it makes no difference what your default browser is for accessing the internet. For SketchUp and extensions that use web pages, only IE and Safari will be used.

Yes, clicking the button does give a blank screen--momentarily--then it takes me immediately to the plugun store login screen in my browser, which is Google Chrome. If I just go back to sketchup, the blank screen is still there, though. Are you saying I should install IE as a wine application?

Hmmmm..Linux
I know Aerilius uses SU on Wine. But I don't know if PluginStore works on Linux?

Yes. You should install IE if you want the web dialogs to show. It doesn't matter that you have and use Chrome. Web dialogs require IE.

So, I ran sketchup in win7 virtual machine which has IE installed and the pgins installed correctly, so I guess that's the way I'll go, though I prefer it in wine, as the program runs a little faster. I'll play around and try to install ie in the wine version, but at least I can go ahead with thework that needs the plugins.
Thanks for the help.
