      P.S. Attached animation shows side-by-side PB1 (O.K.) vs PB2(defected) behavior.

Maybe you could try to uninstall older version and see what appens?

that older dialogbox arrangement is better IMHO because is less screnspace-consuming and the assembly editor is somehow cumbersome too.. this is pretty hard to handle on a laptop.. at least if not a more compact arrangement, would be nice to have some sliders to scroll when the windows are verticlally resized so that could be possible to stack them one on top of the other..

another thing i noticed is that PB is breaking the curve of profiles created by me extruding faceted surfaces.. below you can see the very same profile used with native followme produces smooth surfaces as expected.. if i "stamp" the profile and check the curves they are actually exploded.
it is possible to preserve the curves/smoothing? it could be also better if diagonals were set respect ThomTom's quadface convention like other sweeping and lofting tools such extrude edges by rails or curviloft already do.

aside that it looks a very impressive and robust extension, in aprticular the assembly builder is GREAT tahnk you for the generous and long trial period.

edit- i encountered other problems PB sometimes refuses t work in updating assembly propertys or building assembly along path this is another error i get. it needs to restart sketchup quite often to fix this..

Sorry rv1974. I hadn't noticed it was a gif and you clearly know what you're doing. Did you try uninstalling PB1? Maybe there's a conflict there.

since this is now the official thread, bringing here the question I made on the other one:

          Hi Aces,

That's a difficult one to do with the plugin. In general, it is designed for profiles to be used to connect the components. You should be able to create a polyline profile for the wire mesh instead of a component but it won't be as realistic as what you are trying to achieve. Thanks for the feedback!

Whaat, wouldn´t you be able to achieve that by using code similar to FredoScale's Planar Shearing? It´s easy to think of other things that would benefit from it, like electricity poles connected by electrical wires (the wires would be an arc... planar shearing them when the poles have different heights would be better looking than rotating the arcs)

one more question... will there be a user manual?

and maybe I am missing something, but is there a way to update the built structure in case you decide to change some parameters, or we have to delete and build it again?

I tried to buy the plugin, but the promotional price doesn't seem so promotional after all... especially that I have bought the first version few years ago.

First of all, PayPal not supported... second, what is that "tax" applied over the declared price? And if there is a tax, why the price isn't displayed WITH the tax, because I am not interested how much money the developer (or the website) gets from this, but rather how much I have to pay. Adding extra fees on the way is just not a fair way to do it. My opinion.

I think the point is that the price advertised should include taxes.

                                      Paypal not supported? That's unfortunate.

Why not have it available on Smustard.com as well?

I was a big fan and daily user of PB1, PB2 is just awesome. Purchased it couple of days ago and really like the new interface. The simple 2D profile stamp sounds simple but invaluable for 2D drafting. You can either mock up your details in SU or simply cut and past the profile direct in LO and do them there.

I have been trying to build my own assemblies as I see these being invaluable in the work I do. When you create your components and profiles and assemble them, is there a trick how to do this so you don't have to spend alot of time aligning the profiles and components in the assembly. Mine seem to end up all over the show.

Great work Whaat, love this plugin.

I wish the Author will overcome (in the near future) the biggest limitation:
only connected edges are accepted as profile path.
NB: Dudes leaf through the Help pages. This is really thermo-nuclear power plugin!

electricity poles connected by electrical wires (the wires would be an arc... planar shearing them when the poles have different heights would be better looking than rotating the arcs)

maybe you could be also interested in this cool pugin.. i find it more specific for that kind of stuff you're saying.. 👍

thanks Panixia. I know that plugin. It´s better for joining a few electricity poles. But what if you want to place 100 poles with the wires?
