Hi everyone, I have been using Sketchup for a few weeks now and I am stuck with an issue. I have a model (house design) which is located to the right of the green axis (blue is up, red is right). When I try create a line, rectangle etc on the left side of the green axis, it does not show, and only allows me to draw on the 'model side' of the green axis. When I open up a new file and try, there is of course no restriction, or even for that matter early revisions of my house model. I have therefore done something along the way recently, but have no idea what..

    thanks, Adam.

Sounds like you have something obscuring things left of the green axis...

As @driven says: ensure the section planes are visible/off and see if that helps...
I suspect that he has hit on the cause !

But if not, then perhaps something is 'merging' with your new things...
So are all layers switched ON ?
You should also ALWAYS have Layer0 set active, and always draw your geometry on that layer.
Use groups/components [containing selected geometry] which can then be assigned to other layers, switched ON/OFF to control visibility.
Layering geometry does NOT separate it when the layers are ON/OFF, but 'grouping' it does...

Also check that View > Hidden Geometry is ON...

Can you post a screenshot of the good/bad area interface, if these ideas don't help...
