I did the two SU Scenes onto two LO layers and at first it showed perfectly well then after going back to it one of the scenes had become a solid form - ie you couldnt see through it to the other scene/layer behind ?
Any idea on why this would happen cos it had me scratching my head for a while - in the end i drew a clipping mask but for the backedges example above this wouldnt be suitable.

Bert, could you post the LO file so we can see? It could be something fairly straightforward.

Dave's method could perhaps be refined:

        • create two identical scenes in SketchUp, one in a style you want, the other in Wireframe, with a white background.
        • In LayOut, overlay the wireframe view on the standard view, and set it to use a Hidden linetype (I don't know if it is necessary to explode it first - my old laptop is too slow to run LayOut well)

For me i'm turning off edges in sketchup but they are showing again in layout, and couldnt find a style with there's no edges (out lines)...what to do?

Perhaps you could share an example? You description isn't very clear. Make a LayOut file that shows what you are talking about and post it.
