Bench Vise Sketch
-
A new bench vise based on the venerable Record 7" quick release. I had to draw the model for a woodworking plan I've got in process. I created some new pencil styles this evening. This is one of them.

Nice model. Great new pencil style, but how did you texture?
-
Love that style!
-
Love it too, one of the finest style ever done.
Would you mind sharing? -
Thank you.
Peter, the "texture" was done by making a faces only export and running it through an old version of FotoSketcher. The latest few versions don't have the same option anymore.
Elmer, I might package this line style with the others and release them in the SCF Shop.

That is indeed, a very cool and traditional looking style.
-
Robust!

Add me to the list of people that love that pencil style... and the vice.

-
Thank you.
Doug, SketchUp is the vice.

Glad you're making use of the hand-drawn look that only SketchUp can do. Autocad and Revit couldn't do this; it was photorealistic or nothing. So I have no interest in plug-ins with SketchUp. I mean the photorealistic renderings look very beautiful but leave nothing to the imagination!

Very true. I think there is some anime and comic book artists using SketchUp for just this reason.
