Missing progressbar.rb for shape bender plugin
-
Hi Julie, progressbar should be saved into your sketchup plugins folder. Then it will load all by itself and shape bender should begin working just fine after that.

Hi Chris, thanks for your prompt response. I have tried saving progressbar.rb to the plugin folder, but still get the same error message. I got the progressbar file from the following link:
http://www.smustard.com/script/ProgressBar - there's a download button, and I simply saved it to the appropriate file. What am I doing wrong?

Do you have a file called
progressbar.rb?
Is it in the..Sketchup../Plugins/folder ?
If so then it should all work OK... -
I am also having the same issue. Both plugins are in the proper folder. Shapebender shows up in the preferences/extensions window and the box is checked but progress bar does not show up in this dialog box. I am running sketchup8 on windows 7.
Thoughts.
Thanks- Rob

Are you sure that these .rb files are really installed into the Plugins folder.
Just lately we've had a spate of users with this kind of issue - Vista/Win7 has a way of protecting you against yourself called 'Compatibility Files' - if you don't have full permission to a folder it seems that you have put the files file but in truth the system and put them into a side folder until a 'responsible-adult' [admin] decides if they are really to get added. You know you have such issues if a 'Compatibility Files' button is displayed somewhere in the window's top bars - you just click it to see what's up...Check you have admin rights and also set the permission [under properties > security] to the folders within the Sketchup folder that you will need to be able to read/write/delete files from - these include Plugins, Styles, Materials and Components - including all of their subfolders and files too...
However, assuming that this doesn't fix the issue after a restart of Sketchup, then please try the tool with the Ruby Console open and post errors here.
Another known issue was the way another [now unsupported] script called Virtualwind screwed with the progressbar.rb code by overwriting its methods [which is very naughty!] - if you have Virtualwind please either remove it from Plugins, or if you still use it please download the version I rewrote from here http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?p=331981#p331981 that fixes the issue

Help;
I am experiencing this problem.
Downloaded Shaper Bender to plugins. Is progressbar.rb suppose to be preloaded?, does it come with Shaper Bender?. I am having no issues with any other plugins..... joe

Progressbar.rb is got from Smustard.com
http://www.smustard.com/script/ProgressBarBut the PluginStore version of ShapeBender is quite old.
The newer version of ShapeBender does NOT need Progressbar.
That newer version is available from the EWH... -
Is it possible to update the Store version?
-
Well, still lost.
Downloading progressbar.rb from Smustard.com gives me an error msg. Is it code?
What is EWH...?
Just curious, how did Smustard get its name?...... joe

Joe, if you get shape Bender from the Extension Warehouse you don't need Progressbar.rb.
As for Smustard, I suppose it is a play on SketchUp.
-
So I am running ver 8, there is no extension warehouse that I can find. So how do I get a
functioning copy of Shape Bender?....joe

SketchUp Extension Warehouse
Your library of custom third-party extensions created to optimize your SketchUp workflow.

You ought to update to SU2014 but at least update your profile to the version you're using.

That's Chris Fullmer's decision/prerogative - PM him ? -
Well, everything is fine now. It is obvious I have along way to go in this venture. Thanks to all who provided assistance. I don't know how or when my profile was changed.

Your profile indicates you are still using V7.
