I would like to have Sketchup model printed a1 Size at the printers. Would they need to have sketchup installed in order to print it? or do I have to save to a special format?

    Thanks in advance

    Simon

Assuming you are using the free version (we don't know because you've yet to complete your profile) you could use File>Export>2D Graphic... and make an image export or a PDF. Then send or take that file to the printer. If you have the pro version, you could make a LayOut file with the page size set to A1 and create a proper PDF file from that for printing.
