Draping question

Hi,
I draped these edges to the TIN-mesh and my question is, can I somehow remove them if I want or are they now connected to the mesh? Because when i try to remove one edge, mesh breaks.
Is there a possibility to make them as group?

When you Sandbox Drape geometry the receiving container is modified with new intersecting geometry/edges.
So the draped form is then an integral part of the mesh.To keep 'draped' edges separated from the mesh you need to look at something like my ExtrudeEdgesByVectorToObject.

Select then extrude the draped-object's faces/edges down in blue [z] axis [use Shift to constrain], pick well below the mesh and the extrusion will be trimmed back at the mesh surface.You then need to leave the extrusion within its group, edit that and select/delete [by fence] to leave just the edges lying on the mesh-surface...
Then you will have a draped set of edges overlaying the mesh but not combined with it at all...

Thanks for answer, but I don't think it's a good way...
It's too heavy, so Sketchup crashes.I tried one small lake/pond with your instructions (moved it down with z), but I don't think this will work...or I didn't understand.
It looks nice with normal drape, but it's sad that they are not own group.

You must delete unwanted vertical faces [by fence] ?
