Issue with Revit Imported File
-
I imported a Revit model (as a .dwg) into SketchUp and now all of the surfaces are reading as one. I.E. when I go to add a texture it paints the entire model instead of just the one wall I'm aiming for. Any help would be much appreciated!
I'm using...
SketchUp 2014 Pro
Revit 2014

Just a guess but did it come in as a group and you're texturing the group and not the actual face

Yes... it is probably imported as a component instance.
Edit it to paint individual faces.
Remember that even then you might have nested parts with need further edits to dig-down into the individual face level for painting...
One Revit issue is that you may well have several seemingly identical instances of multiple component definitions - e.g. window mullions...
This means you must edit many to repaint them.
If they were multiple instances of one definition your could more readily edit one and change several...
Thomthom has some tools to try and consolidate such multiple definitions - search his Plugins in the SCF PluginsStore... -
Please search on sketchucation for a plugin which make sketchup layer transform to sketchup materials. Revit export .dwg and generate layers like Wall, Glas, Frame ...These layers remain when import to sketchup. That will help you quickly paint the whole model in the first step.
