            You can use Xnview, it have a file explorer that can show thumbs from skp files.

              XnView as well. Both will allow you to open a browser window and drag and drop into SketchUp.

                There is another way... I have forgotten ist because in earlier versions the thumbnail preview in Windows was on skp files not working... But with the newest one it works perfect! It is a Software I really recommend, it is 3dBrowser for 3d Users. Working without it is not to imagine once wou tried it out:
