Shattered faces that won't disappear
-
Sometimes the faces (planes) of walls have a broken glass effect (see pic).
When you erase them they still come back like a virus. I know it's when SU saves something and asks: 'There are faults with the model, do you want SU to fix them.' I dread this because I know it might end up with this horrible triangle effect that ruins my model. Can anyone help?

I found a way round it.... use the CleanUp Plugin Tool to erase hidden geometry. But the questions still begs.... why does this happen?

I think your problem is in your modeling and not SU. It wouldn't report the problem if it wasn't there. And since you modeled it then it would suggest you introduced the error.
It could be that a planar face is not quite planar and the tolerance that the 'un-planarness' is at is so small that it resides within the SU tolerance.

I know it's not SU. I know it's because of what you mentioned. When your doing a big model with lots of faces it's easy to misplace planes cos I am working fast. Now that I know how to get round the problem it's not a concern. Thanks.

You should really try to avoid the problems and not to repair them. Sooner or later they will catch up with you...
