Isn't it sad that you need to warn of Nudity and sexual suggestion, but nobody blinks at images of torture, decapitation, murder etc

Indeed Rich, now if my smilie had a nipple you'd have a black rectangle pasted over it.

That's better Pete, and I have adjusted my Av to suit.

Pretty astounding. The effect in some cases brings immediacy to the works, one might not think they needed. Liked the Ruth one. Sorry it ends on a dark note. The "fruit" and the impending "rot", so to speak.
A whole story animated at this level would be overpowering but that's sort of what we have now with access to so many centuries of art.

i wonder what would happen if you could hop in your time machine and show the original artists this..
definitely some version of motion sickness would ensue but i wonder what else.. i'm sure they'd like it. (at least some of them)

Violence and beauty, hate and love, are both extreme achievements of human behings and so much intertwined.
Only through a deep emotional experience can we grasp a bit of those extremes and there's no other means of comunication better to express emotion than Art.
It's upon these extremes that History has been written on, so neither one nor the other's available knowledge should be censored. If so then our path to learning is blocked, and we can't decide who we are and if we are to avoid one in favour of the other to write our present, with both freedom and responsability.
